No accounts

There is nothing to sign up for and we do not ask for your name or email address. If you email us, we use your message only to reply.

Microphone

Only the audio latency test uses the microphone, and only after you press Start and your browser asks for permission. The sound is analysed in your browser’s memory to find the test chirps and then discarded. It is never saved to a file, never uploaded and never shared. The microphone is released when the measurement ends. The other tests do not use the microphone at all.

Measurements

All results are calculated on your device. Results are not stored on a server. The “Copy result” button copies a line of text to your clipboard only when you press it.

Analytics

To learn which tests are used and where they fail, we use Google Analytics 4. These services receive standard information such as pages viewed, approximate location derived from your IP address, device and browser type, and anonymous events we send – for example “a test finished with a result between 100 and 200 ms” or “the microphone was not allowed”. We send result ranges, not exact numbers, and never audio.

These services may set cookies or similar identifiers. You can block them with your browser’s privacy settings or a content blocker; the tests keep working without them.

Cookies

The site itself does not set cookies. Any cookies come from the analytics or advertising services named on this page, if they are switched on.

Advertising

The site does not show ads at present. If ads are added, this section will name the ad network and explain its cookies and your choices before they appear.

Affiliate links

The site does not contain affiliate links at present. If they are added, they will be labelled and explained on an affiliate disclosure page.

Hosting

The site is served by Cloudflare, which processes technical request data such as IP addresses to deliver pages and protect against abuse.

Children

The site is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their personal information.
